Using heavy weights and the repetitive twisting motion in lifting can end up causing pain and damage to your joints. One of the challenges was to develop a tool that would provide the same results, without causing harm in the long run. After testing, we feel the Beckford Bar gives better results. The sweeping arc motion of the Beckford Bar forces you to use/build all your muscles together, something that laying on a bench can’t provide. Tyson was “hands on” in the manufacturing process for the bar. With a passion for motorsports and background in rebuilding high performance cars and bikes, the engineering of the Beckford Bar was held to the same strict standards, and the highest quality parts have been used. The shafts are polished, case-hardened steel, the same material as the hoop on quality pad-locks. The bearings in the handles are designed to be used on heavy machinery, and can be used for 10 years before needing any type of service. The stands are molded from Nylon composite, much stronger than regular plastic. The screws that hold the Beckford Bar together are rated for thousands of pounds, not hundreds. We’ve tested functionality of the Bar on people up to 400lbs and have yet to run across any issues.

 

Once the prototype was done, the only thing left was to test it. The testing was simple, ONLY use the Beckford Bar for 5 weeks, eat health with the additional protein shake for muscle build and recovery. For the first two weeks 10 sets of 10 were done, 100 push-ups, 4 times a week. After feeling comfortable with the motion, it was turned up to 150 during the third week. It was after the first two-three weeks that the biggest changes were noticed. This is when the pectoral muscles reshaped themselves due to the motion of the workout. The fourth week testing went to 200 a day, three days a week, and in the fifth week 25 sets of 10 were done four times. The last day of testing was an open schedule with doing as many as possible. Changing to sets of 15, 20 reps were completed for a total of 300. This is the point when the “after” photos were taken.
